We are proud to announce that Ji Hae Kwan Jang Nim John Gravenall, one of the two Chief Instructors within Han Guk Mu Sool®, has officially been promoted to 8th Dahn.

This is a well-earned and significant milestone that recognises not only decades of martial arts mastery, but also his outstanding service and leadership within our Association.

Ji Hae Kwan Jang Nim Gravenall brings a unique depth of experience to his role. After leaving school, he joined the Armed Forces as a paramedic within the RAMC, serving with the Parachute Regiment and later with a Bomb Disposal Unit in Iraq. He went on to a distinguished career in the Police, progressing to Sergeant and becoming a Physical Training Instructor and Operational Firearms Commander.

His martial arts journey has taken him around the world – competing at elite levels, winning multiple British and international titles, and learning directly from some of the greatest martial arts masters of our time.

We are honoured to have Ji Hae Kwan Jang Nim Gravenall at the forefront of Han Guk Mu Sool®, and we invite all students and instructors to join us in congratulating him on this well-deserved 8th Dahn promotion.
